About me

Mimi Nguyen is the Digital Designer for the Enrollment Communications department at the University of Colorado, Denver. Mimi got her Associate’s Degree in Graphic Design in 2020 and is pursuing her BFA in Digital Design at CU Denver. Recently, Mimi was awarded the Chancellor Georgia E. Lesh-Laurie Continuing Student Scholarship and the Wolf Foundation Visual Arts Scholarship for her continuous effort in pursuing an art degree.

As a Vietnamese immigrant, Mimi feels her experiences allow her unique sensibility and design with a distinct cultural perspective and appreciation. Her design philosophy focuses on empathy and user-centered design principles, and she firmly believes that design can solve problems and bring people closer. Her long-term professional goal is to become a UI/UX designer who supports good causes, enhances the quality of life, and focuses on sociocultural and educational issues.

When not working, Mimi loves trying new brunch places, traveling, attending concerts, and hanging out with her puppy, Gigi.
