Logo Design & Branding
Overview: Designing a logo is one of the design students’ first tasks. We also did digital mockups to see how it would look on merchandise and stationery. Maui Surf is a local surfboard shop based in Maui, HI. Their brand value is promoting eco-friendly and sustainable living.
Goal: For this project, we were asked to design a logo that would act as a symbolic brand mark and represent the company’s values.
Challenge: The rule is to follow Gestalt principles (figure-ground) and constrain yourself to a limited color palette and style. Creating mockups for various merchandise designs.
